About Enlite
Enlite was established by Gaurav Bali and Garima Bharadwaj in 2017. It is known for making plug-and-play automation systems that upgrade old building management systems with compact wireless devices, smart edge technology, and AI-powered controls, enabling buildings to respond in real time.
Gaurav Bali (co-founder and CEO of Enlite) said, India is going through a major transformation, as well it is the fastest-growing market in the world. We believe what we are providing can add lots of value.
Swapna Gupta, partner at Avaana Capital, said, “The firm backed Enlite for using advanced technology to change the way important infrastructure is designed and run. The team has developed custom hardware with real-time intelligence and built-in compatibility to manage large-scale infrastructure across various sectors and regions.”
“Building control systems were made many years ago and haven’t improved much since then,” said Garima Bharadwaj, Co-founder and CTO of Enlite. “We’ve tried to rebuild the system to make it smarter and more flexible.”
After launching a commercial in 2022, Enlite’s tech has more than 70 enterprise sites, managing approximately 25 million square feet of space. Some of its prominent clients are REITs, Prestige Group, GCC projects, Fairmont Mumbai, hospital networks, and other various businesses.
Enlite has applied for three international patents and is testing an in-built large language model (LLM) within its hardware system. The company said its revenue grew 10x in 2024-25, and it plans to grow it four times more this year.
According to the company, most commercial buildings in India and other still use old, wired systems, which are hard to manage and expensive. Even in modern, high-end buildings, advanced BMS remains low, because it is hard to install and costly. According to CBRE, India is expected to add more than 2.3 billion square feet of new commercial space by 2030, but many existing infrastructure continues to operate with basic automation, or none at all.
